BORGEN S.Y.A COMMENCES SUPPORT FOR POLICE FAMILIES

NSW Police Legacy is a charity established to provide care and ongoing support to the families of police officers who have suffered a loss.

When I initially started this company, I knew that I wanted to contribute to certain charities that I can trust provides legitimate help to our veterans. NSW Police Legacy has been around since the late 1980’s.

Avoiding any political conflicts and controversies, NSW Police Legacy focused their efforts soley on caring for the greiving families of fallen police officers. NSW Police Legacy understands that the loss of a police officer deeply affects the entire family unit, and their services are designed to provide compassionate, tailored support through every stage of life.

As stated in their mission statement, they provide programs focusing on early intervention, grief and bereavement support, and long-term wellbeing. They provide opportunities for leadership, education, and personal growth, while also ensuring families feel connected and supported.

Every family’s journey is unique, and our goal is to provide meaningful support that meets them where they are. Whether it’s helping a child navigate grief, supporting a parent through transition to employment, or simply being a steady presence in times of change, NSW Police Legacy is here for our families.

Much of what this charity offers aligns with my own religious Christian values; as Jesus once said:

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” - Mathew 25 : 35-40

After thoroughly researching the history of NSW Police Legacy; I am happy to announce the commencement of monthly support to the organization. I hope that we may play a small role in supporting the families of fallen police officers.

If you would also like to join in this endeavor; why not show your support by attending Five Dock RSL 11am-12noon on Wed 16/9/26 to enjoy the NSW Police Band’s live show.
